ReDir handles Windows .lnk shortcut files. It reads the shortcut's target filename, looks for that file in the nearest Bucket folder above the shortcut, and opens it in the default app.
Who is it for: only useful for HP Indigo engineers who use documentation via CE Suitcase. It is of no use otherwise.
Note: ReDir is built for one specific folder layout (a tree with Bucket folders) and matches by filename only. It won't resolve arbitrary shortcuts.
Features
- Parses Windows shortcut files (MS-SHLLINK), using the long Unicode filename.
- Searches ancestor folders for a matching
Bucket/<filename>. - Opens the found file in its default app.
- Registers itself as the default
.lnkhandler on first launch. - Universal binary (Apple Silicon and Intel).
Install
- Open the DMG and drag ReDir to Applications.
- Launch it once from /Applications (not from the DMG).
