Who is it for: people who prepare jobs for HP SmartStream DFE print servers (e.g. HP Indigo presses). It is of no use without a DFE that accepts JDF/JMF.
JDF Job Builder creates JDF job tickets and sends JMF commands (submit, abort, remove, status, queue) to the DFE. It also shows the DFE print queue.

- Imports and parses existing JDF files, with a live XML preview and download.
- JMF commands: Remove, Abort, Status and Queue.
- Queue status with search and sortable columns; bulk removal with retries.
- Color emulation settings (profile and rendering intent) and imposition templates.
- Optional AI panel to generate, analyze and validate JDF, using a local Ollama model or the Claude / Codex CLI if installed.
- Light and dark theme.
Install
- macOS: open the DMG and drag the app to Applications. The app is not signed or notarized, so right-click → Open the first time, or allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Windows: run the installer. It is unsigned, so SmartScreen will warn: choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
Requirements
- macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel) or Windows 64-bit.
- An HP SmartStream DFE reachable over HTTP/JMF (port 8080) for the queue features.
- AI panel (optional): Ollama, or the Claude / Codex CLI. With a CLI backend, prompts go to that provider's service.
